8 Weeks

I weighed in at 134 today. I am really packing on some pounds. Hopefully once I get past this first trimester I can get things back under control and start exercising. I still have been feeling pretty nauseated in the afternoons and evenings. Only a few things will sound good to eat. It is so frustrating. It hasn't been easy either with all the food at the holidays to eat very good either. I'm going to try and eat a lot healthier in January, but we'll have to see how that goes.

7 Weeks

Today I weighed 130 on my scale with nothing on. It looks like I have gained a few pounds in the last week. My nausea has hit full blast now, but I still haven't actually gotten sick. I think this is worst though. I wish sometimes I would just get sick and then feel better. Instead I start feeling a little sick around lunch time and by 3:00 p.m. I feel horrible. It continues to get worst the rest of the evening and by the time I go to bed I feel awful. Then when I wake up in the morning I feel normal. The hard thing is that when I don't eat I feel worst, but I can't find anything to eat because nothing will sound good or only one thing will sound good. I have to eat whatever that one thing is otherwise I feel even worst. Last week I ate a lot of fast food and drank a lot of milkshakes. I think that is where my extra pounds are coming from. Plus I have been more irregular than usual on going to the bathroom. I guess I need to eat more fiber. I told myself that I'm not going to worry about what I eat as long as I am feeling like this. Once the second trimester gets here I will be able to start walking and watching what I eat. I am going to try really hard to only gain 25 pounds. I'm sure that won't happen, but that is my goal.

6 Weeks

I weighed 132 today at the doctor. That was with all my clothes on and even my boots on. I weighed myself when I got home and I weighed 131 with everything on. Normally I weigh myself with nothing on and it looks like my scale is only a pound off. This is good to know they told me I should gain between 25 and 35 pounds. They also told me that I gained 38 pounds when I was pregnant with Christian. That's good to know for my own records. I have been feeling a lot more nauseous lately. Right now I have ben eating anything that sounds good no matter how bad or good it is for me. I figured I would buckle down and eat as good as possible after my first trimester. It seems like there are so few things that are appetizing for me, so I'm not going to limit myself even more by making it only healthy foods. I figure once it gets nice out I will be able to get back into walking and that will help with any extra unwanted pounds that I put on.

First Doctor's Appointment

I had my first Doctor's appointment today! I didn't actually meet with my doctor, but I met with the nurse practitioner. When she was calculating my due date she asked if my periods had been regular. I told her that they have been very irregular the last 6 months that we were trying, so to my surprise she set me up with an ultra sound right then. I wish I would have known that this was going to happen because I really would liked to have had Jason and Christian there. It was great getting to see the baby and t know that everything is going good. I was able to even see the heart beating a little and she was bale to pick up a few beats on the ultra sound. It was pretty awesome to see and hear! They gave me a due date of August 9, 2010. This means I am 6 weeks pregnant today! My next appointment is in 6 weeks with Dr. Leinenbach and we will get to hear the heartbeat then and we will get to find out what we are having at the beginning of March. I can't wait! Everything else was just routine lab work and information about the pregnancy.

5 1/2 Weeks

I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant today. I weighed 125 lbs. this morning. I was really surprised because I have eaten fast food a couple of times this week and that always makes me pack on pounds. I will say the last couple f days I have felt a little more nauseous. Something will sound good one minute and by the time I fix it it doesn't sound good any more. Strong smells are starting to bother me also. These are all good signs though that the baby is doing well, so I am not complaining. I go to the doctor for my first appointment on Monday at 8:00 a.m. I can't wait for that. I think I will feel so much better when I have test results confirming everything. I am also curious to see if my scale is right. I am going to weigh myself right before I go so I can compare them.

Names

Jason and I have been talking about names for a while now. I already have a girl name picked out. We decided on it the last time I was pregnant before I found out I was pregnant with a boy. If we have a girl we are going to name her Charlotte June. I'm not totally sure on the spelling yet for Charlotte, but we will call her Charlie for short. These names are after my Grandma Shetler whose name was Charlotte and after my Grandma Folz whose name is June and also after Jason's Grandma Pickerill whose middle name is June. I like using family names, especially for a middle name. We are not totally sold on the boy name by any means, but the only name we can agree on is Jackson and neither one of us are crazy about that name. We can't even come close to agreeing on anything else though. For a middle name we are pretty sold on using Kenneth, so he will be named after Jason and his dad. Jason's middle name is Kenneth and Jason's dad's first name is Kenneth. We are still throwing lots of ideas at each other. The problem I have with Jackson is that it was such a popular name a few years ago and I like to try and come up with names that aren't real common. We came up with Christian's name from watching one of our favorite TV shows one night. We have always watched Nip/Tuck since it first came on television in 2002. Lately it has gotten pretty stupid and weird but we still watch it. One of the doctors on the show is named Christian. Jason and I were sitting there watching the show and I said what about Christian Thomas for a boy (Thomas is after my Dad, Grandpa, and Brother whose all first names is Thomas). Jason really liked it and so did I, so we never even thought about anything else but that name. It is kind of funny because one of our favorite shows on TV right now is Sons Of Anarchy and one of my favorite characters in the show is Jax which is short for Jackson and if we name our next son Jackson we will probably call him Jax for short. I can't wait to find out what we are having because I think then we will be able to nail down a boy name for sure, if that is what we are having.

Back Pain

The last couple days my lower back has been killing me. I have been super busy at work so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Jason has massaged it the last couple of nights which has helped out a lot and I have also been laying on a heating pad for a little bit before I go to bed.

4 1/2 Weeks (1 Month)

I am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant today! I only have 35 1/2 more weeks to go. I weighed myself this morning on our scale at home and I weigh 128lbs. I am hoping to only gain between 25 and 30lbs. this time. With Christian I gained almost 40lbs. and I still feel like I need to lose 5 to 10lbs. from that. I have been feeling pretty good all week. I have had hardly any nausea the last few days. My back has been a little sore since I've been busy at work and boobs have been killing me. Mine never bothered me when I was pregnant with Christian until after I delivered him and then trying to breast feed was a nightmare for me. I am pretty sure I am not even going to attempt it this time. I didn't take any pictures of me to speak of while I was pregnant with Christian so I am going to try and take one every week and track my weight also. Maybe doing this will help me stay on track better with my weight gain. Both of my sisters are doing great! Becky has 10 weeks left to go and Alisann has 26 weeks left. I can't wait to see what Becky has! We should be able to find out what we are having at the end of February.
