Gender Reveal Party

Tonight was the big night for our Gender reveal party! It was so hard for Jason and I to wait until Thursday to find out what we were having since my appointment was on Monday. Everything went great at the appointment and Baby P is doing great! We had a little disaster on our food before the party. I made lots of yummy appetizers that turned out great and Jason was in charge of the Potato soup. He made it the night before and was planning on just warming it up. Well he ended up burning it! It was awful and there was no way we could serve it to our guests. Jason made a quick trip to the grocery and bought a ton of Steak n' Shake chili and grabbed all the stuff for toppings. Everyone loved it, but it was quite humorous that Jason of all people burned the food and I managed to come out okay! We were surprised at how many people were able to make it to the party being that it was on a weeks night. We were so excited to get to share this with so many people. I had the raffle and the name suggestions along with the ultrasound pictures like last time. Once everyone had arrived it was time to reveal the gender. I was so nervous! We brought in a can of blue silly string and a can of pink to the ultrasound tech and had her only hand us one back with a yellow cap on it. Whatever color sprayed out would reveal the gender. This was all Alisann's idea! We had her also put what it was in an envelope just in case there was a mix up. I helped Christian spray out the string. It was hard to tell the color at first. It looked almost white until it hit the ground and then we saw that it was definitely BLUE! We are going to have our third son in March! We are so excited! We are still working on a name for baby boy P, but I couldn't help myself and order his bedding already tonight. As soon as everyone left I got on pottery barn and ordered it! The party was a blast and a huge success! It was great getting to share this with so many of our family! Now we have lots of planning to start doing. Our first thing is deciding on a name!

18 Weeks

I am 18 weeks pregnant today! I am going to go with my weight from yesterday at the doctor which is 141 lbs. I weigh the exact same as I did with Jax at this point. I am 9 pounds heavier than I was with Christian. I would love to only gain about 12 more pounds, but I know there is no way that will happen. Alisann and I are going to start some pilates classes next week and we have still been walking, just not as much as we would like. I am still wearing my regular clothes and still haven't broke out the bella band yet. I'm sure I will be back in maternity clothes anytime now. I still have sensitive gag reflexes and have to always have something in my stomach or I feel a little sick. My heartburn is just as bad as it was with Jax and it has been from the beginning. I hate that more than anything. The baby has been moving like crazy this week. There have been a few times even that I could feel it by putting my hand on my belly. I haven't tried to let Jason feel yet, because the movements are still sporadic and not real strong. In another week or so he will be able to feel them with no problem. I have been sleeping pretty good lately. I usually will have one or two nights a week that I lay wide awake for several hours and can't go back to sleep. Other than those couple of nights I usually only get up once to go to the bathroom and then go back to sleep. I have started getting some drawers and closets cleaned out and organized. I have really let things go around here as far as organizing goes. I try to tackle at least one thing a day. Sometimes I get lucky and can tackle two. I really want to get my photobooks all caught up before they get too far gone. I am hoping to have things around my house caught up so that when Jason is on his hunting trip I can get some of those finished. I am going to start ordering my blog books little by little also. I hate being so behind on these things. I know it will only get worst when Baby P #3 gets here. It is totally killing us not knowing what we are having. Two more days until we find out. I am really glad that everything is at a standstill on the house that we were looking at. We submitted an offer on Thursday and we expected them to not respond, but then we got a phone call on Saturday saying that they were going to counter our offer and that they would let us know on Sunday. Then they decided not to do anything and not counter. Our original plan was for us to counter our offer weather they did or not. Now that they made us mad we decided to let them sit on their house all winter and then maybe late spring or early summer we would offer again. We might find something else better in the meantime and we really are not in any hurry to move for the next year. this was all such a relief to not have to worry about everything before the baby comes. I do need to figure out what I am going to do as far as rooms go around here. I'm not sure which room to make the nursery for the new baby. I know what bedding and theme I want to do if it is a boy, but I have no idea what to do if it is a girl. I am hoping that after Thursday night we will have the whole weekend to get some things all figured out. I do want to wait until after Jaxson's first birthday and his party before we start switching or moving anything around. That gives me plenty of time to figure everything out! According to my poll on my family blog 9 people are voting it is a boy and 8 people are voting it is a girl. I am going with that I think it is a boy! We will find out at around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday!

18 Week Doctor Appointment & Ultrasound

Today we had our 18 week doctors appointment and my ultrasound to check up on baby P and to find out the sex of Baby P. Of course we did not find out today what we are having because we are going to find out with everyone else at our gender reveal party! I am dying to look in the envelope that she put it in. I do not know how Jason and I will make it until Thursday. Everything went great on the ultrasound. She was able to see everything she needed to see and everything is looking great. That is such a relief! This baby is measuring a little ahead of schedule. They won't change my due date, but The baby is measuring to be due on March 25th instead of the 28th. Jason and the boys went with me to see everything on the ultrasound. Christian was excited to get to hear the heartbeat he loves that. I loved getting to see our sweet baby moving around on the screen! Jax obviously had no clue what was going on! Dr. Leinenbach was excited for us to find out at our party. She thought the idea of using the silly string sounded like so much fun. I am really excited for that also! It took a couple of times to explain what we wanted done with the cans of silly string, but she finally understood and we had her put it in an envelope also just for back up. My regular appointment was quick and routine. I weighed in at 141 lbs. and the baby's heart rate was 153 bpm. I have the next 3 days to finish getting things together for the party. We can't wait!

17 Weeks

I am 17 weeks pregnant today! I weighed in this morning at 137 lbs. I weighed this exact amount when I was 17 weeks pregnant with Jax. I haven't thrown up in a while which is good, but I am constantly gagging and dry heaving out of nowhere. I have to say I feel just like I did with both of my boys so far. We find out next Thursday at our gender reveal party what it will be. I am excited on how we are going to find out with everyone. Alisann came up with the idea for me and I think it will be neat! Jason is going to make potato soup and I am going to make some appetizers. I am probably going to keep things a little more low key than what i did on the last one since everyone has to work or go to school in the morning. I did end up inviting all my aunts, uncles and cousins this time so we could end up with quite a crowd. Jason said last night that i am going to be in a bad mood all week next week because I will be stressed to the max. We are putting an offer on the house that we have looked at 3 times now on Thursday so we probably won't hear anything until next Monday at the earliest. Then we have the ultrasound on Monday but won't find out until Thursday what we are having. I will be in complete shock if this baby is a girl. I am totally convinced that I am having another boy. Jason thinks it's a boy also. We started talking about names again and we have one name that we kind of like but are not sold on. It is Sebastian. My hang up is that it is 3 syllables and I can't think of a cute way to shorten it like we did with Jax. Jason thinks the name sounds a little too prim and proper. We do both like it though so that is a start. I will say that Jason is also coming around on the name Hudson. He is still not thrilled about it but he is getting more used to it. I love that name so I hope he can come around to liking it. We have decided that the middle name will be Albert after my Grandpa Folz and Great Grandpa Folz. I wanted to incorporate my Mom's side in the name somehow since I have already incorporated my dad's side in Christian's name. Jason isn't crazy about using any family names, but I insist that the middle name has to be a family name. I am getting really excited to see this new little baby on the ultrasound! I feel like I have had no time to think about and get excited about this new little baby and I feel awful about it. We have just been so busy with so many things lately and have had so much happen that I just haven't had time to sit and think about anything. I think also I am so nervous on how this is going to go with having Jax and this one so close together I just freak out and I am trying to not freak out until it is necessary. I am also trying to focus lots of time and energy on Jax while he is still the baby of the family for awhile. I don't want to miss out on any of his exciting milestones right now. I figure after Jax's birthday I will have plenty of time to plan and be excited before Baby P gets here. I think it will help knowing the sex of the baby to. Then we can put a name with it and it will seem more real! Jason and I were just talking last night on how we can't believe it is already time for us to find out. It seemed like forever when I was pregnant with Jax and Christian. I am still wearing my regular clothes which is nice. They are getting tight along the waist, but I can still button them. I am not quite big enough for the bella band yet, but that time is quickly approaching. I have felt lots of movement this week. It is now more than fluttering, but still not strong enough to be felt from the outside yet. That is always exciting! It is the one thing I enjoy about pregnancy. I am really loving the fall weather outside now! This weekend we have Ty's birthday party to go to on Saturday and then on Sunday we are going to go to Mayes' for a hayride and to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch! I think I am going to make carmel apples and cookies with Christian today. I will be glad once we know something on this house. Jason and I have been talking and discussing everything that we want to do with it if we get it. Amazingly enough we agree on everything. I went through and marked all kinds of pictures in my Pottery Barn books of how I wanted things in this house and Jason liked all of them! Jason has been really busy the last couple of weeks getting our house ready to put on the market if we come to a price agreement on this other house. There is so much to think about in the next week. I am excited for all of it though!

16 Weeks

I am 16 weeks pregnant today! Things are moving right along. I am going to use my weight from my doctor's appointment yesterday which was 140 lbs. I don't even think I am going to waste my time ranting about my weight this week. Let's just hope when I go back in two weeks it doesn't change. My gag reflexes have been super sensitive this past week but I think it from this cold/cough I have. I haven't been feeling too nauseous lately which is great. I have been having a craving for pumpkin pie and I finally got some yesterday. It was really good! I also had a pasta craving on Friday so we went to Olive Garden and took care of that craving. Fried foods haven't been sounding the best lately. I think it is because they always mess up my stomach so bad. I have been having more and more heartburn. I have had it pretty much since I found out it just keeps gradually getting worst. I have been taking medicine before I go to bed for it so I don't wake up in the middle of the night. I of course have to pee all the time which is a pain. I am still wearing my regular clothes and I am still able to get my pants buttoned, but I have muffin top unless I wear my size 6 or 8 pants. I am hoping to make it at least another month before having to get into any maternity clothes. I need to order Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas shirts again to wear. This past week has been a blur. My Uncle Mark died unexpectedly on Thursday after being in the hospital since Tuesday night. We had a lot to deal with with that. One of my good friends got married on Saturday and I did the hair for it, so that was a little crazy, but I was happy to do it. Then we went and looked at that house again and Jason started doing a couple things to ours to get it ready to put on the market. I think we are going to put a offer on the house at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. I keep having mixed emotions on it. I love the house but I'm not sure I am up for all the remodeling that we will be doing before and after we have this baby. If I wasn't pregnant this would be perfect but since I am pregnant it really throws more of a time crunch for everything. especially since we will be replacing all the floors, doors, casing, molding, and painting everything in the house. This all will need to happen before the baby comes. I am also not willing to move from my house until middle of January at the earliest. That only gives us two months to get the house in shape before the baby arrives. I was stressing out before we found this house, now I am going into overload thinking about everything. I have decided that I am going to take things one day at a time. I am also going to take one room a day in our house now and start cleaning and organizing. I am going to start with our master bedroom today! I think If I just tackle things in small doses it will seem much more manageable for me. right now I am just flat overwhelmed and we have so much going on socially for the next several months. I also need to finish planning for the gender reveal party and for Christian's birthday party. I haven't even gotten Halloween costumes for the boys yet. One reason is that Christian keeps changing his mind on what he wants to be and another reason is finding the time to go get it. I am going to to take him to Nick Nackery to look around sometime. Maybe we can do that tomorrow. One exciting thing this week has been that I think I have felt some movement. They have just been flutters, so I am not 100% positive yet, but it is fun and exciting to think about. I should feel something more definite this week I am thinking.

16 Week Doctor Appointment

This morning I had my 16 appointment. It was a quick in and out routine appointment. I weighed in at 140 lbs. which was horrible. I am going to really have to do something about this. The baby's heart rate was 160 bpm. This is the same as what Jax and Christian's were. Dr. Leinenbach asked if I have been feeling movement and I told her that I thought in the last week there were several times that I felt flutters but nothing strong enough to be absolutely certain. The next order of business was to set up for my ultrasound. I felt bad asking her if we could do it in a couple of weeks even though it didn't coincide with my next appointment. I explained that my parents were going to be going out of town and I really didn't want them to miss the gender reveal party and then once they got back then Jason would have to be gone also. She was more than happy to schedule my ultrasound for in two weeks and she set up my appointment with her then also. I go back on October 24th! I have my ultrasound first and then I see Dr. Leinenbach. We won't find out during the ultra sound we will wait gain like last time to find out with everyone else. We are having our gender reveal party on October 27th! I can't wait to find out what we are having. I think It will definitely motivate me to get organizing and planning around here! I am also ready to give this baby a name. Although if it is a boy we are still clueless!

15 Weeks

I am 15 weeks pregnant today. I weighed in this morning at 134 lbs. I'm sure that is not going to be the case next week when I go to the doctor. Especially after this week of Fall Festival food! My stomach problems have been fine all week and this was the first week with no nausea. That has been great. I have been gagging more it seems like, but I feel good and I haven't gotten sick. I did end up with a cold this week and I think that the coughing is why I start gagging. My pants keep getting tighter and tighter, but I can still fit into them and get them buttoned, so hopefully I won't be pouching out too much too soon. I am really anxious to go to the doctor on Monday. One reason is so I know everything is okay and another reason is to find out when we will have our ultrasound. I am really hoping for the 27th. I had a pizza craving last week and I took care of that with a medium pizza with mushroom, olive, pepperoni, and tomatoes from the Dave's Sportsden. It was delicious! I have also been having a bread pudding craving. I got some at Maxine's and from Gemeca Inn and both were really good! The last several days have been super crazy around here. We celebrated my parents 35th anniversary on Sunday, so we were busy getting ready for that and then just when I thought things were going to calm down for a couple of weeks Jason found a house for sale. Believe it or not we both agree on it. This is huge for us! We have been looking but not looking hard. Jason will look through the home magazine's and online but that is about it. It isn't very often that he finds a house that he likes and then if he does find one I usually don't like it. Well this Sunday was different. Even though this house needs updating we both loved what we saw in the pictures. We figured since we both liked it it wouldn't hurt to drive by, so Yesterday I picked Jason up on his lunch break and we drove by the house. I was shocked at how much more I liked the house in person and so did Jason. I called my Grandma when we got home to see if she could set up a time to show us the house. Sure enough we went out there last night and once again I liked the layout better than I thought. I will say it seems to be more dated than the pictures show, but most of it is painting and stripping wall paper which is simple. We definitely could move in and live in it just like it is, it would just not be very pretty. My brain is spinning because I was not planning this at all. I rally wanted to wait until this baby was like a year old before selling our house and buying a new one, but I really hate to pass this up. There are a lot of things that have to happen for this to even work for us, but we are pre approved for the loan and we are going to go look at it a second time probably this week, and then we will probably put an offer on it. I can't even think about moving from our house. The thought just makes me sick. I will miss it so much and it feels like home. I have lived here for 8 years now and Jason and I have lived here together for 6 years. We have so many unbelievable memories in this house and I love it! I have been feeling a little guilty because i feel like I have barely had time to even think about this new baby coming into our family much less get excited for it. I mean I am excited, but things have been so crazy I just haven't had that anticipation like I did with Christian and Jax and I feel really bad about it. I know it is just because there has been one crazy week after another with no break in between. I'm afraid it isn't going to slow down anytime soon either. I really hope I can find some time to just enjoy being pregnant a little. Jason and i are planning on having 4 kids so I don't think this will be the last time but I just feel bad for this baby and you never know what could happen in the future on whether or not I can have more. Hopefully we figure some things out on this house, so I can not stress too much about this!
